How to Navigate the Confusing World of Wellness: A Simple Guide

So, I’m going to say it: starting your wellness journey can feel like a lot.

One minute you’re just trying to eat more veggies, and the next you’re deep in a spiral about seed oils, gut bacteria, and whether you need to be taking 12 different supplements before breakfast.

If that’s where you are right now, overwhelmed, confused, maybe even frustrated,I just want you to know: I get it. I’ve been there, too.

Trying to figure out what to eat, what’s actually “healthy,” how food affects your energy, skin, digestion, hormones, mood… it can feel like you need a science degree just to make a grocery list.

But here’s the thing: you don’t need to have it all figured out today. You just need to take the next step, and it doesn’t have to be a big one.

Here are 3 simple things that helped me when I was starting out:

1. Get curious, not critical.
Instead of beating yourself up about what you’re doing “wrong,” start by noticing how different foods make you feel. Do certain meals give you energy? Do others leave you bloated or foggy? Your body is constantly giving you feedback and learning to listen is powerful.

2. Stop trying to do everything at once.
You don’t need to cut out gluten, go sugar-free, track your macros, and start taking sea moss all in the same week. Start small. Add a source of protein to your breakfast. Drink a bit more water. Small, sustainable steps create real change over time.

3. Focus on nourishment, not punishment.
Wellness isn’t about restriction or “clean eating” perfection. It’s about giving your body what it needs. Focus on the nutrients, the rest, the movement, and the joy of wellness. When you shift your mindset from “What do I need to cut out?” to “What can I give my body to feel good?”… that’s when everything changes.

And if you’re feeling stuck, or just unsure where to even begin—that’s exactly why I created my Feel Good Approach Guide.

It’s a gentle, realistic starting point to help you understand what your body needs and how to build habits that actually stick. We talk about real food, real life, and how to support your body without the stress, shame, or restriction.

Because at the end of the day, wellness isn’t about doing it perfectly.
It’s about doing what feels good for you.

Let’s keep it simple. Let’s keep it honest. And most importantly, let’s do it together
